Office Olympics

With companies trying all kinds of tactics, events, and promotional items to increase loyalty, team spirit and so on. Has anyone ever considered holding an office olympics? Think about what the events could be. There could be office chair races, a staple the paper event, shooting paper clips event. There could be a paper football or paper airplane event etc. These could revolve around regular office tasks. Different departments could be the teams, you could even set up competition between your competitors. This was just a thought I had as a different way to bring some creativity and life into what is normally a mundane environment for many of us.

Southwest Airlines DIng, Ding, Ding

Southwest Airlines has continued to be my favorite airlines ever since it's humble beginnings at Love field and the incredible visonary leadership of Herb Kelleher. They now have yet another reason to stay loyal. a new desktop widget that delivers even deeper savings on Southwest Airlines Air fares. If that was not enough, they have an online game called Win with Ding, that was developed by PrizeLogic. The team at PrizeLogic are great at creating online contests, and games. So check out the game and have some fun to break up your day at the office.

Acco Rules the World

Have you ever thought about the office products you buy for your home or your company? Have you thought of where they all come from? Go into any Staples, or Office Depot or Office Max and 90% of what you see is from ACCO! Who are they? We all know Swingline staplers. We all use Quartet whiteboards at our jobs or atleast have them hanging up in the conference room. We all use the Wilson Jones folders and GBC paper Shredders or lamination kits etc. See my point? It all comes back to ACCO! Where are the competing products? I think it is a conspiracy by ACCO to eventually rule the world. They have spies and highly skilled ninjas eliminate the competition to make way for a new ACCO Office World Order. Even the expo dry erase marker which we have all come to love with their fruity smelling ink is in danger. Quartet, the only maker of the dry erase whiteboards in the world after a competing company had a mysterious fire in a production facility which the fledgling company could not recover from. Well now Quartet is flooding the market with a new dry erase marker called EnduraGlide (yeah I know what your thinking...) It lasts twice as long as the expo markers and even has a window in the barrel so you can see when you are low on ink!!! A partner in ACCO's qwest for world domination is this Sampletize. They posted a form so people could get a free sample four pack of these EnduraGlide dry erase markers. God only knows how many of these markers were given out, but Expo has to be worried at this point. Who's next?
